Today we're sharing our top instagramable spots in Chicago, and they're all pretty close to Best Western River North. In fact, one of THE most popular spots for an Instagram pic can be seen from the windows of Best Western River North. Murals always make for great Insta photos so it's not surprising that a mural of a giant flamingo garners so much love. Interested? You can find it outside of The Flamingo Rum Club building at 601 North Wells Street. This bright pink and blue mural is just a block down Ohio street at the corner of Ohio and Wells. Stand in the hotel lobby and look out the westward facing windows and the you'll see the giant flamingo ready for his close up. Another favorite mural is the “Greeting from Chicago” wall located at 2226 N Milwaukee in Logan Square. Its about 5 miles away from Best Western River North, but worth the trip. You can drive or take the blue line train from Clark & Lake. It is truly a piece of art and each letter has images of what Chicago is known for. You can drive or take the 156 bus on LaSalle to Stockton and Armitage, then it is about a one-minute walk. Part yoga pavilion, part outdoor classroom, the South Pond Pavilion is a stunning architectural statement and was inspired by a tortoise shell. The structure faces south and perfect frames city skyline capturing the John Hancock building center. Lastly, our personal favorite is the sundeck at Best Western River North Hotel. Our contemporary Picasso mural coupled with expansive city skyline views make our exclusive spot our top choice for the gram. Only guests of Best Western River North have access to our rooftop pool and sundeck.
